54 of our members took the journey to Matlock Bath, and some admitted that they had never been on a cable car before. A few nervous people managed to face their fears and a lovely day was had by all. We had arranged to all go up to the Heights of Abraham at the same time in groups of 6’s and were met at the top by a jovial town crier. Everyone was left to do their own thing and visit the pubs, restaurants, cafes, exhibits etc and to enjoy the wonderful scenery. Some came down into the village for fish and chips and a lovely riverside walk, and others found a welcoming riverside pub for a bar meal. Pete managed to come out of there with a bottle of wine for our raffle
