The outing on 20th April was a day out at the coast, a lovely sunny day to enjoy at Bridlington, first stop at Queensgate the home of Bridlington Town football club, welcomed by the Chairman Pete Smurthwaite, members had tea, coffee and biscuits ready in the bright and beautiful refurnished clubhouse with the sun shining on the patio facing the pitch, Pete then gave a talk on the beginnings of his involvement with the club and the journey along the way to present day, before we left the shop (Meg-a-store) was opened for members to buy their souvenirs of their visit.

The coach then dropped us off outside the Leisure Centre for members to find their favourite fish and chip take a ways or restaurant, after lunch a walk along the harbour and an opportunity to enjoy the ice cream selection on offer.

Everyone returned to the coach to depart at 2 30pm to make our way to the garden centre at Dunswell (Coletta & Tyson) for a browse and afternoon tea, they kindly donated a very nice planter for our May raffle before our return to the MKM then Cottingham.

Wouldn’t be the same without an ice cream in Brid!
