We began a new season of meetings with Johnny Whiteley who got us off to a good start with a very interesting talk. Brendan Smurthwaite and Danny Pratt helped us out in October at very short notice, for which we were very grateful. November saw the visit of Peter Skipper with David Bond asking the questions. December was our usual well attended Christmas lunch.

The New Year began with goalkeeping coach, Mark Prudhoe entertaining us and showing his collection of jerseys. In February, we learnt all about the Youth set up from Billy Russell and Roy Greenwood gave us an excellent talk in March. April saw the visit of Leigh Palin, with the season ending in May with the usual lunch.

During the season the Senior Tigers sponsored the kit of Damien Delaney, Darryl Duffy, and Sam Ricketts and made the usual donation towards the cost of the Juniors visit to Holland at Easter.

The season’s meetings were all well attended, despite the performances on the pitch being erratic to say the least.

As usual, I must thank Adam Pearson for his behind the scenes help, the Events Team for arranging the meetings and lunches, all our guests for their time to come and speak to us, Steve Jordan on the P.A. and Matt Carrington for the programme notes.

Finally, to you the members for your continued support and interest in the meetings and to all members of the Committee and Bill Shirley for all their help.

I hope you will enjoy our meetings this season.
