It was great to get our first outing on the way, after the Covid lockdown, with 42 members enjoying a trip to Filey and Thornton-le-Dale!

The sun was shining and the hour and a half of leisure time was lovely.

Some went for coffee, some for a walk, some bargain hunting in Dixons, while others enjoyed sitting in the gardens overlooking the bay.

Our lunch at the Glasshouse by Charlottes was really enjoyable and the staff made it a successful experience.

Getting to Thornton-le-Dale was a bit delayed, due to a problem with getting a coach through a road where day-trippers had decided to park on double yellow lines making the access for our coach almost impossible.

We had about an hour, when we finally arrived, giving us time for a delicious ice-cream, and a walk around the beautiful village.

Our journey home was extended due to our driver trying to avoid two accidents, but finally got back to the MKM stadium safely after a great day out.
