May 18th
The outing on 18th May, 25 members and 3 guests joined together for a very interesting
visit to Eden Camp. No longer just the two world wars, but bringing
it up to date with the ‘modern day’ conflicts. We all found that the new
upgrade had been done very well. So many new exhibits
that had been produced during the closure period of lock-down.
There were quite a lot
of school groups, while we were there, from the north of England
and the Midlands, as
this year the school curriculum is covering the 1939/45 war.
We had our lunch in the Naafi, and the obligatory ice-cream
before we left.
