Tarrant, Shepherd, Davidson and ( below ) Seddon wave a cheery farewell before Hull City team left Hull last night on the first stage of their journey to Palestine and Turkey.

Wearing dark blue blazers, Hull City footballers are pictured as they left London Airport by specially-chartered aircraft for Istanbul today ( Wednesday ). Accompanying them in the plane were sixteen Sunderland players, as well as officials of both clubs. Players of both teams have been insured for £1 million. Hull play in Istanbul then fly on to Israel. Sunderland will appear in Istanbul and Ankara.
